This photo is of Ruben de la maison de Hollande, bred by the world famous kennel of "DE LA MAISON DE HOLLANDE"He was very special to us in many ways, and will always be sorely missed. His loving and playful nature with us his family considering his bulk and power he was such a gentleman.Without a doubt he was one of the best males we have ever seen in 11 years of being in this breed. He had a beautiful big head that was in proportion with his body, thick bone with correct shoulder placement,a wide chest that was well let down below his elbows,an overall well put together dog.
Ruben won BEST IN SHOW at the DOGUE DE BORDEAUX BREED CLUB MATCH IN 2001(with 45 entries)which was the first breed club match for the Dogue de Bordeauxs that was recognised by the KENNEL CLUB.He was judged by an overseas breed specialist. In 2003 he won BEST OPEN MALE CLASS WINNER under U.K judge TERRY NETHERCOTT.He won 2nd open male class at Scotland working and pastoral breeds only beat by the famous top winning RUSSIAN BLACK TERRIER(Judged by Margaret wildman(WILDAX KENNEL).It was a pleasure and an honour to own Ruben.
